Online writing group

Inspired by the ALONG THE SEAM podcast

Our next workshop will be on FEBRUARY 22, 2026. This will be the second of three sessions focused on Remembrance and Resistance in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Come to one or come to all. These three workshops with their specific themes are below:

January 25: This workshop will draw from WE SHARE THE SAME SKY for inspiration. All the writing prompts will be pulled from the book and podcast.

February 22: This workshop will pull from ALONG THE SEAM episodes and feature descendants of the Holocaust and other experts on the subject.

April 12: This workshop will include memories, insights, and reflections from survivors and descendants of genocides that happened both before and after the Holocaust.

Join us! These 2.5-hour online workshops are a chance for writers of all experience levels and ages to come together in community to think, feel, and document our world as we are experiencing it. I’m hoping that this space can offer a moment of much-needed pause in our very chaotic world. There will be a strong emphasis on memoir writing and family history, and each workshop will have a unique theme that will inspire the texts and writing prompts guiding our sessions.

Participation is first come, first serve and workshops will be limited to 10 participants.

Theme: Remembrance & Resistance

Location: Zoom. I’ll send the link and a reminder email the week before.

Fee: $135. If you are a paid subscriber to my Substack or if you've worked with me as a story coach, the fee is $100.

To Sign Up: To reserve your place, please fill out the form. Your spot will be saved upon payment (I'll provide that information in response to your email).

Questions you may be asking yourself:

Do I need to have any writing experience to join? Absolutely not. This is for writers of all levels.

Will I be expected to share what I write? Nope. No one will ever be forced to read out loud. I certainly will encourage sharing, as it is one of the benefits of doing this in community, but there will never be an expectation or requirement.

Can I gift this class to someone else? Please do!

If I can’t afford the cost, is there a sliding scale? Reach out and let’s discuss. I don’t want cost to be a barrier.

Is there a certain age that is too young to join the workshop? This will be appropriate for ages 14 and up. There is a great benefit to having a wide range of ages in workshops like this, so if you're a grandparent, invite your grandchild!

What happens if I can’t come? If you are unable to attend after signing up, you can transfer your spot to someone else but I will not be able to refund the cost.

I’d like personal coaching for a project, do you offer that? Yes! Learn more here or send me an email to discuss.

I run an organization, would you host a workshop specifically designed for our community? Absolutely. Reach out and let’s collaborate!
